Major Writing #1 for Monday

This assignment wants me to analyze how other people in the same field of interest (engineering) write reports on their work. Engineering reports are quite different compared to most other field's reports since it is mostly about how a machine/device works or how some kind of chemical is made and what purposes it has. I have had to write an engineering report before in high school and it was very different than any other paper I have ever written. These kind of reports usually have a lot of math involved and have a lot of factual information to be processed in them.

Three questions that I have are:
- Am I supposed to write a report about an engineering project that I am on?
- What are people that haven't decided a major supposed to do?
- What should I look for in the reports? The studies or the actual information.

Differences

- APA has a title page
- The page number and the author last name are used in the header in APA
- The full name is used in MLA compared to only the last name in APA
- The title of the paper is on the upper left hand side of each page in APA

diagnostic writing

My strongest attributes as a writer are the personal connections that I make to my work and how it can connect to other people that are my age.
The biggest concerns that I have about my writing are that I think the way that I write is somewhat hard to understand and that it seems to be pretty short.
The skills that I would like to improve on are my writing skills overall which can range from having a better choice of words to being a more inspirational writer.

Influential Writing in my Life

In my life I have read many stories of how people have came from nothing and then made it big. They worked hard and dedicated their life, sacrificing everything that they have towards achieving their dream. Then after all the time and effort that they put in, they end up getting to their end goal and they were able to do things that seem impossible to most people and it then inspires other people to achieve their dreams even when they don't think they can. There are many examples of this, but the most notable to me is a story of a guy named Jonathan Kim. He went from being a Navy SEAL to a doctor and then he became an astronaut for NASA.
